About Us
We are dedicated to supporting children and families navigating neurodevelopmental differences by providing high-quality care, education, valuable resources, and personalized support to enhance their quality of life.
Our Story
Affluent Learning Center was founded in 2021, rooted in the belief that neurodivergent children possess inherent creative potential and an insatiable curiosity for learning. After years of thoughtful planning and development, our services officially launched in early 2025. We view neurodiversity as an intrinsic form of intelligence, reflecting diverse ways of thinking, learning, communicating, and experiencing the world. This perspective guides our commitment to creating environments where children are recognized for their individual strengths and supported in reaching their potential, experiencing happiness, and developing meaningful skills for success. Through our programs and interactions, we strive to create an environment where families can understand, recognize, and embrace the unique capabilities of their child, while fostering a strong sense of belonging, connection, and support within our community.
Our Educational & Therapeutic Approach
At Affluent Learning Center, we believe education is most meaningful when it recognizes the whole child. Our approach brings together educational instruction and therapeutic support within an environment designed to promote learning, communication, independence, social development, and meaningful participation. Our programs incorporate individualized instruction, ABA-based strategies, communication and social-development opportunities, adaptive skill development, and therapeutic supports, as applicable to each student's program and enrollment. We recognize that children learn, communicate, and develop in different ways. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, we strive to create individualized opportunities that build upon each child's strengths while supporting areas of continued growth. Our goal is to create a learning environment where children feel supported, understood, valued, and capable of success.
Our Commitment to Families
We believe that meaningful progress is strengthened through collaboration between children, families, educators, and therapists. Our team works to maintain open communication with families, monitor student progress, and provide individualized support based on each child's unique strengths, needs, and developmental goals. We strive to create a community where families feel heard, respected, informed, and supported throughout their child's educational journey.
Understanding Private School Special Education Services
Parents and guardians should understand that students who are parentally placed in a private school have different rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) than students who are enrolled in public schools. A parent's decision to enroll a child in a private school does not, by itself, create an individual entitlement to the same special education and related services that the student may have received if enrolled in a public school.
The IDEA states:
“a parentally placed private school student with a disability does not have an individual right to receive some or all of the special education and related services that the student would receive if enrolled in a public school under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act”
Accordingly, enrollment at Affluent Learning Center does not, by itself, guarantee that a student will receive a public-school Individualized Education Program (IEP), a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), or all special education and related services that may otherwise be available through a public school. ALC provides educational and therapeutic supports within the scope of its private-school program and based on the student's individual needs, program eligibility, enrollment, and services available through ALC. The educational and therapeutic services provided by ALC are separate from any services that may be available to a parentally placed private-school student through a public school district under IDEA.
ALC's Individualized Approach
At Affluent Learning Center, we recognize that every child has unique strengths, needs, and learning characteristics. Our program is designed to provide individualized educational experiences within a supportive environment that integrates academic instruction, ABA-based strategies, communication development, social-emotional learning, adaptive skill development, and therapeutic supports when applicable to the student's program. Our team works collaboratively with families to monitor student progress and make appropriate educational and programmatic decisions based on each child's individual needs.
Please note: Participation in ALC's private-school program does not replace or modify a student's rights or eligibility for services that may be available through a public school district under applicable federal or state law.

Parents/guardians are encouraged to contact their local public school district or appropriate education agency regarding IDEA eligibility, evaluations, equitable services, and other special education rights.
